This is the most important wine produced by Colle Bereto, an excellent, pure Sangiovese fermented in 30 Hl wooden vats. The wine is only released after 30 months maturation in 700-liter oak barrels and another 6 months of aging in bottles.
At the end of this careful aging process, Chianti Classico Riserva has a brilliant, intense ruby-red color, a nose of small, black berry fruits and jam, and roasted coffee beans with an intense and persistent
flavor of cherry, raspberry and pomegranate flavors. Ripe and juicy, with wild rosemary, thyme, sage and iron accents. Features fine balance and terrific length, extending the ripe fruit and mineral elements.
Excellent with rich tasty dishes, like steaks, game, pork ribs and lamb chops. Perfect to accompany aged cheeses.
