One of the original DOC’s in Italy, the wine dates back to pre-Romanic times. Sangiovese is widely thought to be of ancient origin, as the literal translation of its name (blood of Jove) suggests. 10% of the wine sees some used wood to soften the natural searing acidity of Sangiovese and Montepulciano. Farmed biodynamically ‘Gino’ is the name of Natalino’s father, for whom this vineyard is named and dedicated.
