This comes from Coteaux du Lyonnais, which is located between the Rhone Valley and Beaujolais. It's elegant, structured Gamay with lots of character made by Guillaume Clusel (you might recognize his name from Cote Rotie - the Clusel family has been producing wine at Domaine Clusel Roch in Cote Rotie since the 1950s.) Red-fruited, peppery and spicy, it's got fine delineation and mineral structure for quite a serious offering at this price.
