The label was featured in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's “How Wine Became Modern" exhibit. Produced in Santa Barbara, the grapes for Sexual Chocolate are sourced from Napa, Sonoma and Santa Barbara Counties. The wine was aged from 8-12 months in mix of new and neutral American and French oak.The Zinfandel adds rich and deep aromas and notes of ripe dark fruit, the Syrah offers elements of sweet spice, Petit Sirah brings pretty aromatics and Petit Verdot adds tannins, color and flavor.SLO Down Wines was founded by Brandon Allen, Chip Forsythe and Bo Silliman. Chip received his degree in winemaking and viticulture from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California, which is locally referred to as SLO – hence the winery's name.
