On the nose, layers of Asian pears mix with sensual Peche de Vigne and tropical fragrances of mango and pineapple all wrapped around a subtle flinty minerality. On the palate, flavors of ruby red grapefruit with roasted almonds, hints of saltiness and iodine characters recall the minerality of the nose.
Proprietors Carl and Marilynn Thoma were among the first to choose the foothills at the mouth of the Van Duzer Corridor to create their family estate in 1998, intrigued by the potential of the microclimate and its ability to produce evocative wines.
