The wine is a big 14.5% abv red wine from the South of France, but you wouldn’t know it. It’s perfectly balanced. What’s big about this wine isn’t the alcohol, but the Grenache-driven candied cherry fruit backed up by the spice and smoke of Syrah and the structure of Mourvèrdre (plus whatever else may be in the blend). It’s tasty stuff that’s not likely to stay on the shelves for long.
