DC Decanter: 96 Points
Laden with bright plums, cherries and smoky earthy aromas which glaze the sturdy structure and intersperse with the gorgeous graphite mineral character. Textured and chalky with a racy acidity and an enduring, elegant finish. Very classy.

Multifaceted from the get-go, with aromas of cherry, fresh mushroom, spice and woodsy underbrush, this balanced and persistent red features ripe fruit and mineral flavors, with a fresh, flinty, gravelly finish. Combines elegance and power. Best from 2026 through 2042.

A deep ruby/garnet color, the 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino offers brooding aromas of polished leather, cherry liqueur, candied flowers, and balsamic. Medium to full-bodied, it’s open on the palate, with sweet tannins, a rounded mid-palate, and notes of mocha on the finish. It’s a very well-styled and approachable Brunello to enjoy over the coming 12-15 years.
