The 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo from Cavallotto is a lovely wine, starting with its aromas of red berry, wild rose, hay and peach pit. Elegant and fresh, the palate offers succulent strawberry, bitter orange, star anise and pink peppercorn before an almost salty finish. Made from the estate's youngest Nebbiolo vines and aged for 15-18 months in Slavonian oak casks, it has lithe tannins and surprisingly fresh acidity for the vintage.
