DC Decanter: 95 Points
Les Beaux Monts is situated next to Aux Brûlées but makes a very different style of wine in the Grivots' hands. This is chalky, racy and energetic, with subtle reduction, fine-grained tannins and a finish that lingers on the tongue.
WA The Wine Advocate: 94 Points
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts is also showing very well, offering up aromas of sweet Asian spices, rose petal, plums, cassis and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with good depth and dimension, vibrant fruit and a sapid, expansive finish.
VN Vinous: 93 Points
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru has an extraordinarily transparent bouquet - you can really feel the terroir in this wine. There is an almost pastille-like purity here. The palate is sappy on the entry with very good depth and plenty of matière, offering dark berries, cola and a touch of white pepper on the finish.
