Guigal produces an intensely concentrated, inviting and complex Châteauneuf-du-Pape that is almost unique to the region today. The combination of working with top fruit that has perfect ripeness, along with their extraordinary patience in the cellar, results in rich and full, yet savory, spicy, seamless and balanced wines. Fresh and elegant, the 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers up aromas of dark berries, orange peel, spices, fresh licorice and flowers. Medium- to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, it’s well balanced, with a juicy mid-palate framed by sweet tannins, concluding with a long, gently ethereal finish.

The 2021 is gentler and more elegant compared to the surrounding vintages. Swirling the glass unlocks pleasant spice box, licorice, ripe strawberry and black cherry elements. Medium- to full-bodied and refined, the 2021 finishes with good persistence.
