We are proud to release our first estate wine that is made exclusively from grapes grown on our 7 acre Hindsight Vineyard in Calistoga. The near perfect 2012 vintage in Napa Valley was blessed with superb fruit. The grapes were cold soaked for 6 days prior to fermentation to maximize extraction of color, weight, aromatic and flavor components. The wine was aged in a combination of new and neutral French oak for 18 months. Aromas of black cherry, raspberry, coffee, mocha and oak follow through to the palate. This is a huge, full-bodied cabernet with firm tannins and a long lingering finish. Although drinkable now, it will clearly benefit from a few years of cellar aging. Decanting suggested.324 cases produced.
