Once again, the expressive nose is ripe and exceptionally fresh with its aromas of cassis, poached plum, just turned earth and subtle spice wisps. The rich and very concentrated flavors coat the palate in sappy dry extract that imparts a suave mouthfeel as well as buffers the rustic, austere and impressively persistent finale. This is an excellent example of the genre that is also very much built-to-age and a wine that is going to need at least a few years.
