The Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a lilting bouquet of redcurrant and raspberry fruit, the oak well integrated, hints of sous-bois infusing the "playful" aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy and slightly chalky tannin on the entry. This has wonderful balance, quite dense and focused with hints of blood orange and marmalade lending complexity on the finish. This is a Village Cru that is punching above its weight.
