Le Cantine di Indie Polpo Rosso is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grown in Erice in northwest Sicily from an organic, estate vineyard on clay soils. The grapes are fermented in wood tanks and aged in stainless steel for 8-12 months. Mid-ruby color with a lovely nose of fresh red berry fruits, flowers and dried herbs; medium-bodied palate with sheen tannins and a refreshing finish. Perfect as an easy drinking red, Polpo Rosso also will pair well with a wide range of foods from swordfish to tuna to meatballs to roast pork.
