DESCRIPTION:
This Sauvignon Blanc is fermented in stainless steel tanks (two thirds) and neutral oak barrels (one third). Monthly stirring of the lees helps develop texture and complexity. This is a broad, rich wine packed with white melons, nectarine peel, fennel leaves, spearmint, lime zest and white slate.

Founded in 1977, Matanzas Creek Winery is located on the site of a retired dairy farm in Sonoma County's Bennett Valley. This well-made wine is fermented in both stainless steel and neutral French oak. Aromas of freshly cut grass and honeysuckle dominate on the nose, while flavors of fig and lemon peel come into play on the racy palate.
