Pine Ridge Napa Valley Cabernet opens with seductive aromas of Hungarian baking spice, blueberry bramble, and maraschino cherry. Cocoa nib threads through a plush palate of blackberry, mandarin, and slate. Bright acidity lifts the flavors, while Marionberry and polished tannins stretch the finish. Juicy and layered, it’s built to evolve over a decade. Enjoy with pork loin and cherry chipotle sauce.

• 77% Cabernet Sauvignon • 8% Merlot • 7% Petite Sirah, 5% Malbec • 1.5% Petit Verdot • 1.5% Cabernet Franc •

Bright and lifted aromas of blueberries, blackcurrants, violets and raspberry coulis. The palate is medium-bodied with vibrant acidity, a textural mouthfeel and a finish of licorice, blackberries and bitter chocolate. Succulent and focused. Drink or hold.

Aged 18 months in 35% new French oak and 15% new American oak, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley sports a saturated purple hue as well as loads of black and blue fruits intermixed with leather, Asian spices, and hints of vanilla. It's medium to full-bodied, ripe, round, and mouthfilling, with sweet tannins and a good finish.

With fewer than 1,000 cases produced, it might not be easy to find Pine Ridge's 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon, but it is the sort of wine one would be happy to see on a steakhouse wine list at a reasonable price. Blended from five different AVAs in Napa Valley and aged in a combination of French and American oak (just 15%), it offers up attractive scents of mixed red and black cherries accented by vanilla and mossy oak. It's unabashedly full-bodied, expansive, supple and creamy but is balanced on the finish by soft tannins and bright acids.
