Vibrant ruby in color, the wine is bursting with aromas of juicy pomegranate, bing cherry, and rhubarb, with hints of earl grey tea and cinnamon. Elegantly layered notes of ripe strawberry, raspberry, and fennel fronds create a harmonious and lifted palate accented by a delicate acidity and a subtle salinity, which hearkens to its source along the Sonoma Coast.

Farm life instills in one a deep sense of respect for family, a love of land and the joys of collaborative effort. Our CrossBarn wines are a reflection of these ideals and of our commitment to sustainable vineyard practices and gentle winemaking techniques. The "cross barn" was nestled in the middle of our one hundred fifty year old family farm in upstate New York. A favorite haunt for my siblings and me, it took on a life of its own and remains in our memories as a place of great mystery and adventure.

The 2021 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is a huge overachiever. Bright, punchy and super-expressive, the 2021 offers up boisterous red/purplish fruit. Lavender, rose petal, spice and mint are all dialed up in this heady, explosive Pinot. Readers will have a very hard time finding a Pinot with this much quality for the money. All of the fruit is estate.

Perfumed aromas of red and black cherries, red licorice, cooking spice and rose water. Medium-to full-bodied with steady acidity that helps to articulate the dark-fruit and tobacco flavors, but retains freshness throughout. Sandy, easy-going tannins. Wet-stone finish. 100% estate grown.

The 2020 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is flush with pristine fruit on the nose, including cherry candy, crushed flowers, and forest floor. The palate is fresh with red raspberry and cinnamon, and it has refreshing acidity on the finish. This is a lovely, classic wine for drinking over the next couple of years.
