This 2024 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo from Tiberio is a benchmark rosé from the Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC, crafted by winemaker Cristiana Tiberio. It is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes sourced from vines averaging over 50 years old, planted in the limestone-rich soils of Cugnoli at an altitude of 350 meters. Tiberio employs a minimalist approach, using only free-run juice after a brief cold maceration and fermenting with native yeasts in stainless steel to preserve the grape's pure expression. This method results in a distinctive, deeply colored, and structured rosé that embodies the authentic character of both the variety and its specific Abruzzese terroir.

The 2024 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is impossible to ignore. It has a vivid, perfumed bouquet of black cherry and wild blueberry, complemented by sweet lavender tones and hints of spice. This possesses amazing complexity and inner perfume. Violet florals arc across the palate as the Cerasuolo finishes long and slightly tart. In 2024, Cristiana Tiberio used all of her Montepulciano fruit to bolster the Cerasuolo. This is not to be missed.
