The Dry Creek boasts a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and cool, wet winters. At only 16 miles wide and 2 miles long, the AVA boasts diverse soil types which contribute to the cultivation of several notable grape varieties. Recognized as one of California's first official American Viticultural Areas, its undulating hills and varying elevations give rise to distinctive microclimates.

Block 731 Cabernet Sauvignon is lush and full-bodied, opening with ripe plum and blackberry and finishing long with hints of dark chocolate and black pepper.
